Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. gave a puzzling answer to a softball question on Monday during a public event at The Heritage Foundation, according to a new report.

Kennedy appeared at The Heritage Foundation to mark the one-year anniversary of his "Make America Healthy Again" initiative, which aims to reduce the amount of ultra-processed foods in American diets. The initiative has been widely criticized by experts for focusing too narrowly on food and not enough on environmental factors, such as stress, that can lead to poor health outcomes.

During the discussion, Kennedy was asked why he enjoys working for President Donald Trump. The Health Secretary, no stranger to puzzling remarks, gave a revealing answer.

Kennedy described Trump as the "most business-friendly president" who “will not tolerate overreach and doesn’t care about vested interests, doesn’t care about offending powerful people," The Daily Beast reported.

“So it is a joy to work for him because he lets me do stuff that I don’t think anybody else would,” Kennedy said.
