Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) on Sunday blamed President Joe Biden after he said that his mother has "struggled" to buy food.
Scott made the remarks on Fox News while slamming the Biden administration for rising inflation.
"What they're talking about with this -- name whatever the bill is -- all it's going to do is cause more inflation," the senator complained. "I mean, look at what it's doing to poor families in this country with gas prices up 55%. Go to the grocery store, food prices are up."
"Solve the problem for every family, like mine growing up," he added. "My mom struggled to put food on the table. Inflation hurt her. Solve it. Fix it."
