MAGA CNN analyst Scott Jennings laid into former Secretary of State and 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton for suggesting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu allowed the October 7 terrorist attack by Hamas to happen on purpose — but he was quickly reminded a certain other person he greatly reveres thought the exact same thing.
Clinton made the comments on MS NOW's Morning Joe this week, saying Netanyahu "wanted to see what [Hamas] could plan so that then he could come down hard and it would enhance his position."
"Is Hillary the biggest conspiracy theorist in America?" said Jennings in a post to X. "Still thinks Russia stole the 2016 election & now says Oct 7 was an inside job. Good grief."
But Zeteo News founder Mehdi Hasan had a swift retort to Jennings.
"Your guy Charlie Kirk suggested the same. I dare you to criticize him for that on the one-year anniversary of his murder," said Hasan. He linked a 2023 Washington Times article revealing that Kirk, the founder of the far-right Turning Point USA student group and a hallowed figure in the MAGA movement, had suspicions quite similar to Clinton's.
“Israel is the size of New Jersey. When I took a helicopter ride from Jerusalem to the Gaza border, it was 45 minutes. [It took the Israel Defense Forces] six hours!" said Kirk. "[Hamas was] livestreaming the killing of Jews. Did somebody in the government say, stand down? That is a legitimate, nonconspiracy question. The whole country is the IDF, the whole country is! And you’re trying to tell me that they’re going to concerts and kibbutz’s, and schools?”
Kirk became a martyr for Trump supporters after he was murdered by a sniper during a political event at Utah Valley University a year ago to the day.
The theory that Kirk and Clinton were pushing has gained some legitimacy in recent days, following a report in Haaretz that his administration was given a detailed warning of the attack in the run-up to October 7 and did not alert his security chiefs.
