Critics pounce after Fox panel complains about 'political' rock stars

A Fox Business panel on Monday complained about iconic punk band Green Day after they changed the lyrics of their song "American Idiot" to target former President Donald Trump and his supporters.

During a segment on Green Day's performance, panelist Cherise Trump called out the band for saying it opposed the "MAGA agenda" and insisted that meant the band members supported high crime and a cratered economy.

Michael Cohen sounds the alarm after court denies appeal: No Trump foe is safe

Donald Trump's former lawyer, Michael Cohen on Tuesday lost his appeal to revive his lawsuit against the ex-president, CNN reported. He'd claimed Trump retaliated against him after he published a tell-all book revealing secret details gleaned from working with him.

The danger of the ruling is that it will ultimately usher in case law that prevents any kind of recourse for critics of officials if they end up being targeted, he warned.

Trump has called 2024 'the final battle' — 'he just may be right': op-ed

Last year, as he was gearing up for his 2024 run at the presidency, Donald Trump referred to his campaign has "the final battle." Writing for The New York Times, Frank Bruni says that while Trump's rhetoric is mostly "a showman’s cheap histrionics" and "a con man’s gaudy hyperbole, his "final battle" comments hit differently.

"He just may be right. Not in his cartoonish description of that conflict — which pits him and his supporters against the godlessness, lawlessness, tyranny, reverse racism, communism, globalism and open borders of a lunatic left — but in terms of how profoundly meaningful the 2024 election could be, at least if he is the Republican presidential nominee," Bruni wrote.

Trump supporters' cultish devotion shocks rival GOP operatives:  'Nothing could move them'

Former President Donald Trump never delivered on his top 2016 campaign promise to build a wall along the United States-Mexico border.

However, the Washington Post reports that Trump's Republican rivals were unable to take advantage of this because Trump supporters had already concocted wild excuses for why he had failed to deliver on what he claimed as his top priority.

Dems prepare for 2024 'bloodbath' in N.C. as they battle badly gerrymandered map: report

In contrast to its deep red neighbor South Carolina, North Carolina is a swing state. North Carolina has two Republican U.S. senators (Thom Tillis and Tedd Budd), but it also has a two-term Democratic governor: centrist Roy Cooper. And President Joe Biden narrowly lost North Carolina to Donald Trump in 2020.

But in an article Tuesday, The Hill's Mike Lillis reported that North Carolina Democrats are entering 2024 with a badly gerrymandered congressional map that clearly gives Republicans an advantage in parts of the state — and will make it more difficult for Democrats to retake the U.S. House of Representatives in November.

The House impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden has been criticized for its lack of evidence for the GOP's allegations that the president laundered bribes through his son Hunter's international business deals.

Trump's plan for 'MAGA freak show' at trial unnerves his ex-lawyer

Rolling Stone is reporting that former President Donald Trump is pushing his lawyers to use his upcoming trial in Washington D.C. to push more bogus conspiracy theories about the 2020 presidential election in what one source describes as a "MAGA freak show."

Among other things, the former president reportedly wants to subpoena former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) in an attempt to pin the blame on her for security failures at the United States Capitol building; to bring up classified intelligence documents that will supposedly show he was right to be suspicious of the official election results; and make allegations that the Chinese government and Hezbollah plotted to hand the election to President Joe Biden.

'Wily' Christian right group is gearing up for massive assault on 2024 election: writer

A new "anti-democratic" and pro-Trump religious movement known as the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) has been exposed in a new book by Canadian scholar André Gagné who says it's gearing up to play a massive role in the 2024 election.

The book, “American Evangelicals for Trump: Dominion, Spiritual Warfare, and the End Times,” adds some context to the little-known movement that is confusing outsiders. According to Salon's Paul Rosenberg, the greatest strength of the book is its “focus on how [NAR] adherents speak of their beliefs and practices."
