A MAGA man first born in 2016 made a return to Saturday Night Live Sunday as the show celebrated its 50th anniversary — and Donald Trump’s legion of supporters went into a tailspin.

Tom Hanks returned to the show with Doug, a “Make America Great Again” hat-wearing man with a southern accent who first debuted on the show as Trump ran for his first presidential term.

Appearing on the spoof show Black Jeopardy! — a contest in which questions are asked that favor Black contestants — Hanks character argues how church would fix society's problems and suggests another show, called White Jeopardy.

Hanks’ character made waves nine years ago when he refused to shake the hand of the Black host — played by Kenan Thompson.

He did the same Sunday. “Don’t like that, whoa, whoa, whoa,” he said, before eventually agreeing as Thompson says, "No, no, it's just a handshake."

Hanks' portrayal set off a conservative firestorm, as first reported by the Daily Beast.

“Donald Trump just won a landslide election and has never been more popular with Americans,” commentator Benny Johnson fumed on X.

“They have learned nothing.”

Hollywood still doesn’t get it,” added conservative Mario Nawful. “Portraying Trump supporters as racist caricatures while he’s winning record minority support. SNL’s trying 2016 jokes in 2025.”

And Link Lauren, who worked alongside Robert F. Kennedy Jr. during his presidential campaign, wrote, “This show wonders why their ratings are in the gutter.

“Trump won the popular vote. This tired trope that MAGA is racist is disgusting. SNL is an unfunny show for snobbish liberal elites. The current Republican Party is a big tent coalition compromised [sic] of many former Democrats. Good riddance, SNL!”

She added that portraying MAGA followers as “racist is disgusting.”
