The latest episode of South Park that took aim at a number of top Trump administration officials had MAGA world up in arms late Wednesday for its portrayal of the president, many of whom decried the show as having gone “woke.”
“South Park is not MAGA and does not support America,” wrote X user RealCherokeeOwl, a pro-Trump account with more than 57,000 followers.
Premiering late on Wednesday, the second episode of the long-running show’s 27th season lampooned President Donald Trump, depicted in the episode alongside Vice President JD Vance, at the president’s Mar-a-Lago Club in Florida.
It also pokes fun at Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, and includes a parody of her real-life story of having killed her own dog, which she admitted to in her memoir and defended due to the dog being “untrainable.”
The episode marks the second dig at Trump since the president’s second term in office, with the first triggering a response from the White House, with White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers decrying the program as a “fourth-rate show” that “hasn’t been relevant for over 20 years.”
“Didn’t think I’d ever see the day that South Park went woke, shame,” wrote X user Memestonker with his 1,000-plus followers.
Alamo Taylor called the new episode “too extreme,” while X user Squarehead44 wrote that the show’s creators had been claimed by the “woke mind virus,” and X user Florida Sooner wrote that the show “had fallen.”
Self-described “proud patriot” Victoria Bestolarides railed against the episode, decrying the show in a social media post on X as being partisan, and being “just another extension of the liberal agenda.”
“What made us love South Park was the fact that they were willing to make fun of everyone,” Bestolarides wrote.
“Nobody was off limits. Currently, I can see where the puck is going and they have zero intentions of going after the Russia hoax or the auto pen debacle. If we don’t see an episode making fun of Jasmine Crockett or AOC (because there’s plenty of material, that I can tell you) we will know that South Park is just another extension of the liberal agenda.”
Damn, didn't think I'd ever see the day that Southpark went woke, shame.
Had quality opportunity to rip on Biden, but clearly they took a political position against Trump

Too extreme. Even if it was against the left. South Park is better than this. Bring back the greatness.

Been watching since the 1st episode in 1997, looks like the woke mind virus claims another trophy and SouthPark will begin their downward spiral.
As one of the greats once said, “Screw you guys, I’m going home”.
