Rep. Mark Pocan (D-WI) didn't hold back after MAGA firebrand Stephen Miller made an incendiary post about Zohran Mamdani after he won the Democratic primary for New York City's mayoral race.
Miller wrote on X that "NYC is the clearest warning yet of what happens to a society when it fails to control migration," suggesting that Mamdani's election was the result of changing demographics.
Several users replied to the post, with responses ranging from assertions that Mamdani supports "Sharia Law" because he is a Muslim to other racially insensitive remarks.
"I love watching MAGA nut jobs spinning total bulls--- to overcome blatant racism and xenophobia," Pocan replied to one user. "People want progressive populism that focuses on making their lives better, not redistribution of wealth from working people to the wealthiest. Trumpism is on the decline."
Miller commented at a time when the GOP tries to find ways to leverage Mamdani's win to their benefit. A fundraising email from the National Republican Congressional Committee called Mamdani "the new face of the Democrat Party" and labeled him a "socialist nightmare."
Pocan replied to Miller's post by calling him a "Racist F---" and telling him to "go back to 1930s Germany."
The lawmaker also clashed with several people over Mamdani.
For instance, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) posted what appeared to be an AI-generated picture of a Muslim woman in a black hijab standing on a pedestal in the style of the Statue of Liberty. Pocan replied by asking, "Is this more ignorant or more racist/Islamophobic? Or both? I vote both."
Zach Bannon, the press secretary for the NRCC, shared a Fox News story about Pocan's comments and called him a "professional narcissist." Pocan fired back by saying, "Defend that bigoted f--- all you want. Everyone knows what a tool does."
