White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller appeared on Fox News' "Hannity" for a sprawling interview on Wednesday, with the two trading barbs over topics ranging from the positive impacts of President Donald Trump's mega budget bill and the administration's deportation efforts.
But Miller's tirade was abruptly cut short after his camera battery died while he was on air.
Miller was in the middle of talking about how Trump's budget increase for Immigration and Customs Enforcement would impact the administration's efforts to deport immigrants when the camera cut off. Miller's microphone was still on, and he continued his rant without missing a beat.
The camera cut over to Kellyanne Conway, who was hosting Hannity's show. Conway returned a comedically blank stare as Miller continued talking. The show then cut over to photos of ICE agents conducting an arrest before Miller was disconnected completely.
The episode happened on the same day that Politico revealed Miller has been using a shadowy website to collect information about people to deport. The website is called Canary Mission, and Miller has used it to collect information to cancel visas for foreign academics who express pro-Palestinian sentiments.
