'This is going to be the misdemeanor from hell!' Steve Bannon rants outside courtroom

Indicted Trump ally Steve Bannon took a defiant tone after his first court appearance since being indicted on criminal contempt charges.

Appearing outside the court with reporters afterward, Bannon vowed to fight Attorney General Merrick Garland to the bitter end.

"I'm telling you right now, this is going to be the misdemeanor from hell for Merrick Garland, Nancy Pelosi, and Joe Biden," he said.

Bannon then slammed Biden for calling for his prosecution after he refused to comply with the House Select Committee's subpoena last month, and he warned House Speaker Nancy Pelosi that she was making a big mistake by crossing him.

"Nancy Pelosi has taken on Donald Trump and Steve Bannon, she should ask Hillary Clinton how that turned out," he said.

Bannon is scheduled to be formally arraigned on Thursday. In the meantime, he was asked to surrender his passport so as to prevent him from trying to flee the country and he will be required to check in weekly with a pretrial services officer.
