Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced that she would be deploying federal agents to the 2025 Super Bowl following the announcement that Puerto Rican singer Bad Bunny would be the halftime show performer — and Whoopi Goldberg sees it as a perfect time to punk ICE.
Noem's promise suggests that Bad Bunny — who is a U.S. citizen as he is from a U.S. territory — will bring with him immigrant fans, despite the astronomical price of a Super Bowl ticket.
"How's she gonna know who's who?" asked Whoopi Goldberg on The View Monday.
"Because the Supreme Court has given permission to question anyone who has a Spanish accent, who has dark skin," said Joy Behar.
"Here is the thing," Goldberg began. "Everybody, get a little cocoa butter, sit in the sun, that's the first thing. And then — and this is the only time you can probably ever do this — give yourself a Latin accent."
"You know, Whoopi, that is a good idea," Behar agreed.
"And just see — and see if she can tell who is who," Goldberg continued.
"I can't afford a Super Bowl ticket!" exclaimed co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin, a former White House communications director during Donald Trump's first administration.
Beher recounted a story about Danish people wearing the yellow star during the Holocaust so Nazis couldn't tell who the real Jews were — though the story has been debunked, with Snopes noting that most Jewish people in Denmark weren't required to wear the star.
