Arnold Schwarzenegger trolled a former Trump administration official after Tuesday’s Supreme Court ruling that effectively shut down a novel theory that was at the center of the former president’s efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election.

The court’s 6-3 ruling in Moore v. Harper effectively shuts down the so-called “independent state legislature” theory, which advanced the notion that state legislatures have sole authority over elections.

Jeffrey Clark, who served as assistant attorney general in the Trump administration and was among the leading proponents of the independent state legislature theory, last year engaged with Schwarzenegger in a debate on Twitter after the former California governor filed an amicus brief to the court in the Moore v. Harper case.

Schwarzenegger posted a photo of a handcuffed Clark standing in front of a parking garage wearing a dress shirt and underwear captured from video of authorities raiding his home in the 2020 election interference investigation during last year’s social media exchange in which he offered up “some tips on squatting to build up those legs.”

Last year’s exchange got testy, with Clark at one point tweeting, “You know when faux Republican 'the Ahhnold' is de-mothballed to file an amicus brief at the Supreme Court--one authored by significant Democrat Supreme Court practitioner David Frederick, the Dem party is very, very concerned about how Moore v. Harper could come out at the S Ct.”

The former California governor had a chance to gloat Tuesday, and he pounced.

“Hi Jeff!” Schwarzenegger tweeted.

“I know the Supreme Court went my way in Moore v. Harper and not yours, but I’m still here for leg training tips! You can get some free workouts and positivity here (it might help you!): https://arnoldspumpclub.com
