National security officials have been left bemused by the MAGA meltdown over Taylor Swift — and they're trying to end it.

Speaking to Politico, Pentagon spokesperson Sabrina Singh addressed the claim that Swift is part of a Pentagon “psychological operation” aimed at rigging the Super Bowl in an effort to get President Joe Biden reelected.

“We know all too well the dangers of conspiracy theories, so to set the record straight — Taylor Swift is not part of a DOD psychological operation. Period,” Singh said.

Some far-right influencers and pundits are pushing a conspiracy theory that claims Swift has orchestrated getting her boyfriend Travis Kelce's team the Kansas City Chiefs to the Super Bowl in an effort to influence the election.

“The absurdity of it all boggles the mind,” one senior administration official said. “It feels like one of those ‘tell me you are a MAGA conspiracy theorist, without telling me you are a MAGA conspiracy theorist’ memes.”

Among those pushing the claim was Fox News host Jesse Watters, saying Swift was part of a Pentagon “psy-op."

“It’s real. The Pentagon psy-op unit pitched NATO on turning Taylor Swift into an asset for combating misinformation online,” Watters said.

Another U.S. official asked, “Is this Team Trump’s new Comet Ping-Pong pizzagate?”

A senior DOD official told Politico, “I mean, I love Taylor Swift, of course, but I haven’t spent more than two minutes thinking about this."
