A Florida man who allegedly drove his car into a group of anti-Tesla demonstrators over the weekend has been arrested by police in Palm Beach County.

Local news station WPTV reported that 44-year-old Andrew Dutil is facing aggravated assault charges after he allegedly drove his black Nissan SUB onto the curb of a Tesla dealership near West Palm Beach where several anti-Elon Musk demonstrators had gathered.

"Deputies spoke with two women who were part of the protest — which was aimed at Elon Musk and DOGE — who said they were standing on the sidewalk when Dutil's SUV jumped the curb and approached them," reports WPTV. "They both said they were in fear for their life and believed they would have been hit if they had not jumped out of the way. One woman said Dutil had driven by earlier in the day, and was yelling at the protesters."

No injuries were reported as a result of Dutil's actions but he still faces a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent for his actions.

He is currently being held without bail at the Palm Beach County Jail.
