Billionaires who supported Donald Trump, as well as others in the MAGA universe, are starting to question their decision in the light of the President's economics policy, according to an expert.

Noted economist Jared Bernstein, former chair of the United States Council of Economic Advisers, appeared on MSNBC early Wednesday morning. In the initial part of the interview, Bernstein claimed that Trump was "burning down the house" as opposed to taking out the trash.

"What a terrible way to go about this. This is some of the worst diplomacy I've ever seen, and absolutely the worst economics I've seen in international trade in a long career," Bernstein said.

In a second part of the interview, Bernstein is asked about MAGA "spin" on the plan, in which Trump allies have suggested people sacrifice their 401ks for the country's improvement.

"I'm hearing more and more people, you know, even the billionaire class who supported him seems to be waking up and wondering if they've bet on the wrong pony," he said. "I'm hearing more and more people, including some folks in the MAGA camp, say this is not what we signed up for. This is not what we voted for."
