Former President Donald Trump held a streaming event on Monday to prepare for the Super Tuesday primaries the following day, where a huge number of delegates are set to be awarded and the Republican primary could effectively wrap up.
And as Trump spoke, the Biden HQ account on X — a sanctioned campaign account — tweeted out both fact checks of Trump's false claims and highlighted some of the more bizarre things he said. All were accompanied by short video clips of the former president.
"Trump claims his economy was the 'greatest... in the history of the world'; Fact check: Trump left office with the worst jobs record since the Great Depression and President Biden has since presided over historic economic growth," stated one fact check.
Another responded to Trump claiming he "had the best job numbers that this country has ever had" and made the same observation.
Many of the other clips the account highlighted were odd claims about migrants claiming asylum in the U.S.
"Trump on immigrants: They have languages that nobody in this country speaks. The languages are from Mars," stated one post.
Replied Nostradonny, "This tracks, for a man who stared directly into an eclipse."
Another fact check simply quoted Trump as saying, "Trump claims immigrants have ended sports in New York: There's no more little leagues, there's no more sports."
As one X user pointed out, New York does still have little league.
And still other posts from the account emphasized more ominous claims made by the former president, like, "I don't need votes. We have all the votes we need."
Trump made this statement the same day the New York Times reported a network of Trump's allies are quietly trying to strike thousands of voter registrations in key swing states.
