An enraged President Donald Trump exploded at The Wall Street Journal on Thursday night after the newspaper published a bombshell report detailing a letter he sent to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein for his 50th birthday.
In the letter, Trump outlined a naked lady in a dark marker and scribbled his name across the woman's waist as if to resemble pubic hair. Trump also included an imaginary conversation between the two men where Trump admits they "have certain things in common."
Trump shared his anger with his followers on Truth Social.
"The Wall Street Journal, and Rupert Murdoch, personally, were warned directly by President Donald J. Trump that the supposed letter they printed by President Trump to Epstein was a FAKE and, if they print it, they will be sued," Trump's post reads in part. "Mr. Murdoch stated that he would take care of it but, obviously, did not have the power to do so."
Trump has tried to distance himself from the Epstein story over the last week. He's reportedly called MAGA influencers personally and told them to stop talking about the story. He's also attacked his supporters who care about the Epstein case as "weaklings."
"President Trump will be suing The Wall Street Journal, NewsCorp, and Mr. Murdoch, shortly," Trump continued. "The Press has to learn to be truthful, and not rely on sources that probably don’t even exist."
"President Trump has already beaten George Stephanopoulos/ABC, 60 Minutes/CBS, and others, and looks forward to suing and holding accountable the once great Wall Street Journal," the post reads. "It has truly turned out to be a 'Disgusting and Filthy Rag' and, writing defamatory lies like this, shows their desperation to remain relevant."
