President Donald Trump took to social media Friday to brag about the refurbished bathroom at the White House, sharing photos of the new renovations that include a marble floor and walls and golden bathroom fixtures and trash can.
“The Refurbished Lincoln Bathroom in the White House – Highly polished, Statuary marble!” Trump proudly boasted on his social media platform Truth Social.
The bathroom is part of the Lincoln Bedroom, the guest suite at the White House once used by former President Abraham Lincoln as an office. Along with his remarks, Trump shared eight photographs of the renovated bathroom, which also revealed a silver chandelier hanging from the ceiling.
The refurbishment represents just the latest attempt by Trump to revamp the White House to his liking, with perhaps his most notable effort being the addition of a luxurious ballroom to the White House complex, made possible with the destruction of the White House’s East Wing, much to the shock of many.
Trump has also had the Oval Office redecorated with gold-trim detailing, replaced the Rose Garden lawn with stone pavers, erected new flagpoles on the North and South lawns, and added decorative modifications to the West Colonnade, the walkway between the West Wing and the Executive Residence.
