President Donald Trump raged at the British Broadcasting Corporation on Sunday after two of the news organization's top executives quit over a video of Trump's speech outside the Capitol on January 6, 2021.
Last week, an investigation by The Telegraph revealed nine instances where the BBC displayed "anti-Trump bias," including editing Trump's speech on January 6, 2021. That speech has been widely considered to be the impetus of the January 6 insurrection to stop the transfer of power to former President Joe Biden.
"The TOP people in the BBC, including TIM DAVIE, the BOSS, are all quitting/FIRED, because they were caught 'doctoring' my very good (PERFECT!) speech of January 6th," Trump posted on Truth Social. "Thank you to The Telegraph for exposing these Corrupt 'Journalists.'"
"These are very dishonest people who tried to step on the scales of a Presidential Election," he added. "On top of everything else, they are from a Foreign Country, one that many consider our Number One Ally. What a terrible thing for Democracy!"
