The United States Institute of Peace has thrown a wrench in another effort by President Donald Trump to emblazon his name on a historic building.
On Thursday, the USIP filed an emergency motion asking a judge to stop "plans to carve President Trump's name into the facade of the iconic USIP headquarters building," Politico legal reporter Kyle Cheney reported via a post on X, noting it's "NOT JUST THE KENNEDY CENTER" that's fighting off Trump's name.
The State Department announced the naming plans late last year, according to reporting by ABC News.
