Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) on Wednesday sent a letter warning that former President Donald Trump and his campaign are already endangering the peaceful transfer of power.
As NBC News reports, Raskin's letter warned the Trump and his campaign were "breaking the precedent set by every other presidential candidate since 2010" by refusing resources provided by the federal government aimed at ensuring a smooth transition of power.
Raskin speculated that the Trump campaign is refusing to comply with this precedent in order to evade fundraising reporting requirements.
"Your actions depart from well-established norms of the federal government and demonstrate a spectacular disregard for the successful continuation of the essential institutions of American democratic government," Raskin warned.

Presidential campaigns are supposed to enter into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the General Services Administration by September 1st of election years and an MOU with the White House by October 1st.
Harris's campaign has complied with these procedures but Trump's team so far has not.
Raskin wrote that there are "significant potential vulnerabilities" that can occur during the transition period and that an incoming administration that is unprepared to govern immediately could provide opportunities that "U.S. adversaries could take advantage of."
