Former President Donald Trump vowed to appeal a ruling that prevents him from threatening certain people connected to his federal election subversion trial.
In the ruling issued on Monday, U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan ordered Trump and others not to target witnesses, court staff or prosecutors.
"WILL APPEAL THE GAG ORDER RULING. WITCH HUNT!" Trump ranted on his Truth Social platform.
POLL: Should Trump be allowed to run for office?
In a statement on Monday, a Trump spokesperson called the ruling an "absolute abomination and another partisan knife stuck in the heart of our Democracy by Crooked Joe Biden, who was granted the right to muzzle his political opponent, the leading candidate for the Presidency in 2024, and the most popular political leader in America, President Donald J. Trump."
Chutkan has said court sanctions could be necessary if the attacks continued.
