On Wednesday, following President Joe Biden's press conference on the summit with China's Xi Jinping, former President Donald Trump took to his Truth Social page to push a conspiracy theory about the conference.
His assertion: the press is handing Biden the questions beforehand.
"Biden calls on a specific reporter, gets a question, then reads the answer off a card," said Trump. "In other words, he knows the question, then reads the answer."
"What is going on here?" added the former president.
There is no evidence that Biden was reading the questions off a card in advance.
However, allegations of people being given questions in advance have previously shaken up political campaigns, with one of the most famous examples being leaked emails that revealed Hillary Clinton received questions in advance from Democratic National Committee interim chair Donna Brazile during a primary debate in 2016.
