The internet cheered a bicyclist who trolled federal agents in Chicago by shouting, "I'm not a U.S. citizen! Come on!" — leading to a chase.
In a video obtained by ABC7, a group of U.S. Border Patrol agents walked on Sunday near the 300 block of North Dearborn Street in the Loop. Christopher Sweat, who recorded the video, said the agents ran after a bicyclist who taunted them with "verbal comments but no physical or threatening contact."
In the video, the bicyclist repeatedly shouts, "I'm not a U.S. citizen! Come on!" Eventually, after nearly a minute of taunting, several agents chase the bicyclist.
"Get him!" an agent shouts. But the bicyclist doubled back and evaded the pursuing agents.
Internet critics couldn't get enough of the video.
"Have you seen this? lol, stupid fascist fat f---s, I can't stop laughing at this!!!!" wrote X user Mark.
Fellow X user Maine wrote, "ICE [tries] to get this dude delivering food in a bicycle. It did not go well. This needs the Benny Hill treatment."
And fellow X user Marry 66 wrote on X, "There is a video of this so watch. It’s hilarious, the ice goons so stupid chasing a bicyclist. #ICEaredumb."
And BlueDream wrote on X, "This guy dropped his phone, picked it up, ran pushing a heavy bicycle and a gang of out of shape ICE agents were unable to catch him. More importantly, why were they even chasing him? Are ice agents nothing more than a federal gang of thugs?"
