The Florida grand jury that indicted former President Donald Trump hasn't finished its work, thus raising the possibility that even more criminal charges could be coming.
The New York Times reports that the grand jury that indicted Trump earlier this month has continued issuing subpoenas to witnesses even after the indictment was unsealed.
"In recent days, the grand jury has issued subpoenas to a handful of people who are connected to the inquiry," writes the Times. "While it remains unclear who received the subpoenas and the kind of information prosecutors were seeking to obtain, it is clear that the grand jury has stayed active and that investigators are digging even after a 38-count indictment was issued this month against Mr. Trump and a co-defendant, Walt Nauta, one of his personal aides."
Trump was slapped with more than three-dozen criminal counts related to the unlawful retention of national defense information at his Mar-a-Lago resort and for obstructing government efforts to retrieve top-secret government documents.

Trump currently faces a slew of legal problems, including a civil lawsuit over allegedly fraudulent business practices from New York Attorney General Letitia James; criminal charges related to his hush-money payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels; criminal charges into his retention of top-secret documents at Mar-a-Lago; and two different investigations into his efforts to illegally remain in power after losing the 2020 election to President Joe Biden.
