A federal judge on Saturday ordered the Trump administration to free a man who was arrested while working at the hotel where ICE agents had been staying to conduct their operation in Minnesota.

Kyle Cheney, senior political affairs reporter for Politico, broke the news on X.

"JUST IN: ICE agents in Minnesota arrested an employee at the St. Louis Park Homewood Suites — where they were staying to help carry out Operation Metro Surge," he wrote. "A federal judge just ordered the man's release."

Cheney linked to the order itself, which is by Judge Susan Richard Nelson.

"In sum, the Court finds that all three Mathews factors support Petitioner’s claim that Respondents have violated his due process rights under the Fifth Amendment," it reads. "Respondents’ Constitutional violations, as well as their statutory violations, in detaining Petitioner support Petitioner’s immediate release."
