The anti-Trump former GOP insiders at The Lincoln Project are hitting back at Republican attacks on Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz's two decades of service in the National Guard by hammering Trump for avoiding the draft during the Vietnam War.

In a new ad called "Stolen Valor," the Lincoln Project attacks Trump for claiming that he was unable to serve in the military during the war due to a case of "bone spurs."

"When 58,000 men gave their lives in Vietnam, Trump was the spoiled rich kid who faked bone spurs," the ad states. "He mocked the men who fought, bragging that cruising New York for sex and avoiding STDs was his own Vietnam."

The ad then makes reference to Trump allegedly calling soldiers who died in World War II "suckers" and "losers," while also noting his past ridicule of the late Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) for getting captured during the Vietnam War.

The ad concludes by labeling Trump as "a coward, a criminal."
