New York Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron decided on Thursday to leave Donald Trump's $10,000 fine for violating a gag order in place.

On Thursday morning, Engoron told Trump's attorney, Chris Kise, that he would reconsider his client's second fine for attacking the judge's clerk on social media.

"Engoron did not take long to reach a decision after reviewing a clip of Trump's remarks during a morning break, saying it was 'clear' Trump was referring to his clerk," Reuters reported.

"I have reconsidered the $10,000 ... and I'm adhering to that decision," Engoron said.

Trump is facing trial for allegedly inflating the value of his assets to secure favorable bank and insurance agreements.

He was fined for comments in which the judge said he referred to a clerk as "partisan." A gag order had been put in place earlier this month after Trump attacked the same clerk – and he has already been fined $5,000 because he left the original comments up on his campaign website.
