Donald Trump is thought by many to have a cult-like hold on most of his MAGA base, but his recent endorsements have drawn ire from those who wear his hats and follow his every move. The latest catalyst for this outpouring of criticism was a Sunday message about Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN).
Trump late Saturday issued a double endorsement of Arizona congressional candidates Blake Masters and Abe Hamadeh. That endorsement resulted in several negative comments to Trump from his supporters, including one user who was wearing a MAGA hat in his profile picture, telling Trump to "get off the fence." Another Trump supporter wrote, "Booo."
The next day, Trump again took to Truth Social to make a plea to supporters to cast a particular vote.

"Senator Marsha Blackburn is a fantastic Senator for the Great State of Tennessee. She has been with me from the very beginning, and has never let me down!" Trump said. "As the Chair of the Committee on the Platform at the Republican National Convention, Marsha did an incredible job in passing a strong AMERICA FIRST Agenda, one that will help us win Majorities in the House and Senate and, very importantly, the White House."
He continued:
"A True Fighter for our Movement to Make America Great Again, Marsha is working tirelessly to Secure the Border, Create Jobs, Support our Military/Vets, Defend Religious Liberty, and Protect our always under siege Second Amendment. Senator Marsha Blackburn is a friend and a WINNER, and has my Complete and Total Endorsement for Re-Election!"
While some of Trump's supporters accepted the endorsement, others lashed out at Blackburn.
One user with a profile image of Trump, @MaryMary1776, said, "She let her constituents down when funding Ukraine and Biden."
@Rlpriddy said, "Respectfully sir, I disagree and I'm one of her constituents."
@Meatrock24 was upset about Blackburn's donation requests.
"This b---- needs to quit sending me 30+ emails a day tired of unsubscribing from her FFS I unsubscribe get 3 more in return so many I wanna vote for the f------ opposition," he said.
@Randy_Lee55 said, "Well, actually, the only thing I have ever seen her do is complain, open investigation after investigation that go nowhere and there it ends."
@Carrie28 said, "Hmmm... I remembered Blackburn bad mouthing Trump after the Jan. 6th event. That's when my trust for her departed. RINO!"
Another user, @Tenman, said, "She did let you down DJT!"
"She promised you and her constituents that she was NOT going to certify the fraudulent 2020 election," they wrote. "To my knowledge, Blackburn has never publicly owned that she lied to us and certified the election on Jan 7th."
@WESLOVELACE said, "She certified 2020 steal."
@BillySlade said Sunday, "TN constituent here, she let me down on 1-6 and 2020 election."
