Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) attacked President Donald Trump on Thursday for what she is calling his "worst idea" yet.

Speaking to MSNBC, Pelosi talked about the first actions that Trump's new administration has taken to cull the federal workforce, particularly those working abroad like USAID, the FBI, and possibly even the CIA.

Dozens of top-level FBI officials were already included in a "Termination" memo, and the Justice Department was given 5,000 additional FBI employees who worked on Jan. 6 cases that could be next on the chopping block.

A list naming any CIA employees hired in the final two years of President Joe Biden's administration was also shared. Those CIA agents were offered an option to resign and receive eight months of pay and benefits, the Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday night.

Pelosi also cited concerns that had been raised by Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) about access to details in government databases, which could endanger those collecting information covertly abroad.

Pelosi said Democratic officials have a three-pronged plan to counter Trump, which includes litigation against the executive orders, legislation, and communication and mobilization "at the grassroots level." Democrats do not control the House or Senate, however.
