"The View" began the discussion about Tuesday night's debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump by celebrating the former's successes.
At the top of the show, Whoopi Goldberg gave a remembrance of the Sept. 11 attacks but then pivoted.
"Because there was a booty whoopin'," Goldberg said. The audience went wild. "Last night was the first and possibly last presidential debate between Vice President Harris and 'you-know-who.' And clearly, Vice President Harris kicked some butt."
The audience cheered again.

"She did. She did," Goldberg continued. "She called 'you-know-who' out for kissing up to dictators, killing the immigration bill, having no health care plan, and spewing lies about post-birth abortion, which, to be clear, is illegal everywhere."
The reference is to Trump's false claim that the former Virginia governor thought it was fine to execute a baby after it was born. The real story was the former lawmaker talking about babies that aren't expected to survive being born so parents can decide whether to resuscitate or be with the child as it passes away.
Alyssa Farah Griffin, Trump's Former White House communications director, noted that even Fox News is saying Trump lost.
"He melted down within the first few minutes," Griffin said. "She laid traps for him and he flopped right into them. He should have been strongest on border security but talked about his rallies, and how they're great and nobody leaves."
She compared it to "a traditional presidential cycle" with someone like Mitt Romney against Kamala Harris then she would have needed to explain some issues.
"But nothing about this is traditional," Griffin said.
She then pivoted to Trump's most questionable comments, including a right-wing conspiracy that immigrants are kidnapping people's pets to eat.
"Yes, migrants are eating animals and defended the Jan. 6th rioters and praised Viktor Orban," Griffin said. He "wouldn't say Ukraine should win the war against Russia. And best of all, [when] asked if he has a health care plan after being president for four years, out of office for four more years, and says, I have concepts of a plan."
It was at that point that Griffin said she thinks "the mask started to slip, even with MAGA supporters."
