A Sunday court ruling against Donald Trump's administration led to a firestorm among the president's allies.
Raw Story reported earlier in the day that the Trump administration lost its bid to keep a wrongly deported Maryland man, Kilmar Ábrego García, in custody. Experts noted that there was a caveat, in that the Maryland father would likely be detained by ICE after his release.
The judicial order raised the ire of many allies to Trump, including MAGA DOJ reporter Julie Kelly, who called the ruling "unbelievable."
"A Tennessee magistrate judge denied Trump DOJ motion to detain 'Maryland Dad' Kilmar Abrego Garcia on federal charges of drug and human smuggling. Judge Barbara Holmes goes to great lengths to defend Abrego (his preferred surname, she said) from DOJ's allegations and his alleged 'due process' rights," Kelly wrote. "This is bloodboiling considering the ease with which DC judges routinely denied release of J6ers indicted on nonviolent offenses."
Megyn Kelly said, "Omg he’s out too. This is insane."
MAGA-affiliated attorney and former GOP staffer Mike Davis also chimed in, saying, "Saint Kilmar Abrego Garcia allegedly: - trafficked for almost a decade - participated in a gang murder in El Salvador - enticed minors into sex acts."
"Under no circumstance can the Justice Department release him, per Magistrate Judge Barbara Holmes’ lawless and dangerous order," he added on Sunday.
Conservative legal correspondent Margot Cleveland said, "Holy Cow! Judge just denied government's request to detain wife-beater Garcia pending trial on trafficking charges!"
