"The View" began its Monday show hitting Donald Trump over false information he's shared about the government response to Hurricane Helene — and voicing concern for badly affected North Carolina if it doesn't elect the former president.
On Saturday, Trump was joined by Tesla CEO and X owner Elon Musk in Butler, Pennsylvania, where he falsely claimed that the Federal Emergency Management Agency had run out of money because President Joe Biden spent it on support for immigrants. He also claimed last week that FEMA was intentionally withholding aid from affected areas that are in Republican states.
The FEMA administrator was forced to discredit the claim on television and the agency built a website to dispel the myth.

"There's so much misinformation and disinformation this election cycle it's actually scary," said former Trump White House communications director Alyssa Farah Griffin.
She revealed a friend of hers has worked for FEMA for the past decade and is on the ground in North Carolina.
"And he said this storm is one of the worst he's seen. He was in Katrina. He did Hurricane Sandy. The devastation, the loss of life, these people are suffering," said Griffin.
"And now they're being lied to about, there isn't relief for you. There's actually been a downtick in volunteers because volunteers think there's not enough funding for them to be able to help the efforts," Griffin continued.
She said that it's distracting from the ongoing efforts to try and save lives, while fewer people are going to FEMA to ask for funds they're entitled to.
"Donald Trump's doing this because of politics," Griffin attacked. "North Carolina is a battleground state. So, right now, he wants to scare North Carolina voters into supporting him, thinking the Biden-Harris administration isn't helping them."
The crisis, she said, will continue well past November, and "God forbid Donald Trump wins and North Carolina votes against him, I worry that he wouldn't keep fighting to get the funding for them. This is a years-long rebuild, and we need leaders who are going to work across the aisle and Congress to authorize funding."
Meanwhile, she said Trump "day in and day out" is revealing to the American public "why he is so unfit for office."
