Donald Trump's own advisers, allies, and administration appointees joined in on making fun of Judge Engoron, who is overseeing the former president's civil fraud trial in New York, for his fashion choices.
Engoron recently fined Trump a total of $15,000 for repeatedly violating the court's limited gag order, which only instructed the ex-president not to target court staff. Trump was found to have attacked Engoron's law clerk twice.
Trump has lashed out against the judge several times, most recently saying he is "crazed in his hatred" of Trump.
POLL: Should Trump be allowed to run for office?
A Trump-supporting political activist, Raheem Kassam, got the ball rolling by posting a photo of Engoron on social media. Kassam's social media profile is plastered with images of Kassam with the former president.
"Judge Arthur Engoron should be fined for his fashion sense," Kassam wrote Friday. "This is a serious sartorial crime. His tailor needs a gag order."
The comment section is filled with people criticizing Engoron for his clothes as well as his decisions in the court, and unrelated issues.
What stands out is that a Trump appointee weighed in.
Michael Caputo, the assistant secretary of public affairs under Trump, reposted the photo. He also included a tag of Roger Stone, asking him for a "fashion verdict."
Stone, a Trump adviser, responded in the comments.
"No! No! No! No!" Stone replied.
Stone then shared the photo himself, writing simply, "No!"
