Donald Trump's latest conspiracy theory about Vice President Kamala Harris using AI to generate her crowds was labelled "just false" by CNN Sunday.
Trump, who earlier in the day made the claim on Truth Social that Harris' massive rallies and events were in fact all faked, has experienced intense backlash for his comments. On MSNBC, Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA) argued that the claim made Trump not suited for presidential office.
On CNN over the weekend, the network reviewed its own footage of the event Trump used as an example, and debunked the former president's claim.

Host Fredricka Whitfield noted that "former President Trump is launching a new attack at Vice President Harris, claiming she faked a recent campaign photo."
She then brought in senior White House reporter Kevin Liptak, who said, "If you're looking for any more evidence that the size of these Harris campaign rallies are capturing Trump's attention and getting under his skin, look no further than these posts that he's putting out today, essentially lending voice to a conspiracy about the size of her rally in Detroit earlier this week."
"To back up his claim, he seems to be using a photo that a Harris campaign staffer posted from the event and trying to claim that there's no reflection of the crowd on the exterior of the plane that it was somehow manipulated," Liptak added. "But we can say with certainty that his claims the crowd didn't exist are just false."
He continued:
"For starters, CNN was at the event and I've spoken to just one of the esteemed chief correspondent who was there. He told me that his team witnessed a crowd of many thousands that filled the large hanger where she was. There were two risers, the crowds spilled out onto a sprawling tarmac where Air Force Two and you see it there came to a stop to large risers."
