Donald Trump attorney Alina Habba has gotten in a number of tense exchanges with the judge in the former president's defamation case, but another Trump lawyer is reportedly not faring any better.

Habba has been the primary attorney from the ex-president's side in the case, and some have even criticized her interrogation of E. Jean Carroll, a writer who already established in court that Trump sexually assaulted her and defamed her after she opened up about it. Carroll ultimately won $5 million after a trial that was separate but related to the current case.

Habba was also accused of not understanding court evidence procedures.

But the spotlight may have shifted on Thursday, when Judge Kaplan had a problem with a different attorney for Trump.

Politico's Erica Orden reported the incident:

"After Trump lawyer Michael Madaio asks the expert witness a series of repetitive questions, Judge Kaplan steps in," she reported Thursday. "'We are now wasting time, big time. Stop it. We all agree that Lincoln was the 16th. Let's move on.'"

Legal expert and MSNBC host Katie Phang noticed the incident, too.

"Judge Kaplan is also getting fed up with Trump’s other lawyer…" Phang wrote on her social media. Phang also reported that Madaio is a law partner of Habba.
