In a rare clapback, New York Attorney General Letitia James reportedly hit against former president Donald Trump's insults against her outside his civil fraud trial Wednesday – and said his comments "won't change what's happening in the courtroom."
Trump has repeatedly criticized James, calling her "racist" and nicknaming her "peekaboo." James filed suit against Trump for allegedly overvaluing his assets in a consistent attempt to achieve better loans from banks.
White-collar crimes reporter Stewart Bishop of Law360 noted the exchange on Wednesday.
POLL: Should Trump be allowed to run for office?
"NY AG Letitia James makes a few remarks to the press on her way out, responding to Trump's insults," he reported Wednesday.
"He's called me venomous, he's called me disgraceful, he's called me a radical, he's called me a racist and this is only week three," James says, according to the reporter. "None of this, which can best be described as performative, can change what’s happening in the courtroom."

She then reportedly added: "And the evidence is clear, that he inflated his statements of financial [condition] to enrich himself and his family," James says, according to Bishop's reporting. "And nothing will change that, not the attacks on me, or anyone."
