Donald Trump offended British Prime Minister Keir Starmer Monday as he launched an attack on the mayor of London after a meeting in the United Kingdom.
The president was responding to a question asking if he planned to visit England’s capital city during his visit to the nation, which has been based at one of his golf courses in Scotland.
“I'm not a fan of your mayor,” Trump responded, referencing Sadiq Khan, a left-leaning leader who has been outspoken about Trump.
“I think he's done a terrible job, the mayor of London. He's a nasty person.”
Starmer quickly jumped in in an attempt to shut down the attack.
“He's a friend of mine!” he exclaimed.
“I think he's done a terrible job, but i would certainly visit London,” Trump added before moving on.
