Lawmakers rage over new Trump claim: 'His mental faculties are increasingly compromised'

Donald Trump recently made a claim on social media that had some lawmakers raising an alarm on Saturday.

Trump on Friday claimed, "Just in: Documents show conclusively that Christopher Wray, Deranged Jack Smith, Merrick Garland, Lisa Monaco, and other crooked lowlifes from the failed Biden Administration, signed off on Operation Arctic Frost."

He then added, "They spied on Senators and Congressmen/women, and even taped their calls. They cheated and rigged the 2020 Presidential Election. These Radical Left Lunatics should be prosecuted for their illegal and highly unethical behavior!

That led Dem senator Sheldon Whitehouse to say, "As his mental faculties are increasingly compromised, he becomes more and more a caricature of himself."

"As his retinue is obsequious toadies, that makes him more and more dangerous," Whitehouse then added.

Rep. Eric Swalwell chimed in, too.

"Big if true! Merrick Garland, as a private citizen — while Trump was in office — rigged the 2020 election!" he added on Saturday.
