NBC host Kristen Welker was called out by numerous people on Sunday, including former MSNBC host Keith Olbermann, for her coverage of Donald Trump's 2020 election subversion efforts.
Trump made numerous attempts to overturn the election in 2020, which was won by President Joe Biden. The former president now faces local and federal charges in connection with specific allegations that, in doing so, he also broke numerous laws.
In a clip being circulated on social media, Welker said the Supreme Court would review "Mr. Trump's claim that he's immune from criminal prosecution for allegedly trying to overturn the 2020 election."

Similar language was employed on Welker's show Friday.
But that raised red flags for several political experts, including commentator Olbermann.
"Once again: this sh-t continues to be peddled by [NBC], [Welker], and [Meet the Press] executive producer Rebecca Blumenstein because those at NBC with real power won't risk their money," he said on Sunday. "You are jeopardizing democracy by your cowardice."
He further added, "SAY. SOMETHING."
Journalist Aaron Rupar corrected Welker, saying, "No, he really tried to do that. We lived through it!"
Rupar also pointed to comments made by NYU law professor Ryan Goodman, who highlighted in February that Welker left out key parts of the report from when President Joe Biden was exonerated in the classified documents probe.
"Misinformation on Meet the Press," he wrote last month.
Clyde Haberman, a former columnist and editorial writer at the New York Times, confirmed Rupar's correction to Welker. He added, "Exactly. Trump didn't 'allegedly' try to overturn the 2020 election. He tried to do it."
Herbie Ziskend, deputy director of communications for the Biden administration, simply said of Welker's comments, "Please do better, folks."
