New York Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron ordered Trump attorney Chris Kise to apologize after he launched a verbal attack on prosecutors from the New York Attorney General's Office.
At one point during Donald Trump's fraud trial on Thursday, Kise argued that the lead counsel for the attorney general should "check the internet" for job openings.
"Vladimir Putin has some openings," Kise quipped, according to Adam Klasfeld.
The judge demanded Kise apologize, but initially refused.
"I think it was totally uncalled for," Engoron complained. "Totally incorrect."
Klasfeld said Kise walked back his insult "slightly."
"The world is watching," Kise remarked.
The trial in Engoron's courtroom has frequently been testy all week, including when Trump himself went on lengthy tirades against both the judge and Attorney General Letitia James during his testimony on Monday.
