Details are starting to come out about the first full day of court for Donald Trump in New York.

According to MSNBC legal analyst Lisa Rubin, Trump's previous cases have been "noticeably different" than what unfolded Monday. She called the classified documents case "solemn" and "sober" with a "silent" proceeding. "You could hear a pin drop before it started."

"This one, by comparison, even though it doesn't involve criminal charges, this might as well be Trump's most important indictment as far as he is concerned because he was belligerent," said Rubin. "He was crossing his arms and shaking his head, at times even physically prodding Chris Kise to get up and argue with the judge or with the attorney general because this is that important to Donald Trump."

POLL: Should Trump be allowed to run for office?

She explained that it all comes from Trump's "public image and his private image as America's most successful real estate tycoon."

It was clear to her, to Trump, fighting back against certain things "was very important to him down to the moment where he exited the courtroom and paused to glare very dramatically at Tish James, the New York attorney general."
