Judge denies attempt to keep Trump off Wyoming ballot for insurrection: report

Donald Trump saw a legal victory on Friday as a Wyoming judge reportedly rejected an attempt to keep the former president off the state's ballot as a purported insurrectionist.

“Making a determination at this stage of the process would be imprecise, subject to speculation, and would create rather than diminish future controversies, because it would require engaging in legal details made in the abstract and result in a decision rendered without concrete factual background,” wrote Albany County District Court Judge Misha Westby in a court order, according to Cowboy State Daily.

U.S. Supreme Court finally reveals if it will hear Trump's ballot removal appeal: report

The U.S. Supreme Court has set Feb. 8 as the date to hear former President Donald Trump's 14th Amendment appeal in which he argues that he should be eligible to remain on the Colorado primary election ballot, CNN reported.

The decision comes shortly after Trump’s legal team filed an appeal to overturn the Colorado Supreme Court's ruling barring him from the primary ballot. Maine’s Democratic Secretary of State, Shenna Bellows, also issued an order disqualifying Trump from the state’s ballot over his alleged actions in the the Jan. 6 Capitol attack.
