Jimmy Kimmel mocks Trump as president's 'ego bruised' by recent snub
'Disturbing': Cardiologist says Trump may be having health crisis after 'frantic' speech

Jimmy Kimmel has openly mocked Donald Trump for having his "ego bruised" by recent events, including a recent awards snub.

The talk show host noted in his Live! monologue that the president had been acting with the fury of losing out on the Nobel Peace Prize in mind. Speaking to the show's crowd, Kimmel suggested Trump's ego has yet to recover from the awards loss, and not even an alternate FIFA Peace Prize can satisfy the president's want for a Nobel Peace Prize.

María Corina Machado, the opposition leader who stood against President Nicolás Maduro's administration, has said she should be the one to take power in Venezuela. Trump does not seem all that convinced, though, with insiders suggesting his opposition is because of Machado's acceptance of the Nobel Peace Prize.

Two White House sources told The Washington Post that Trump had refused to offer his support to Machado following the capture of President Maduro because she had not offered him the sought after prize.

An insider claimed, "If she had turned it down and said, ‘I can’t accept it because it’s Donald Trump’s,’ she’d be the president of Venezuela today."

Kimmel has since mocked the US president for not engaging Machado in a dialogue, and the reason for the lack of communication is seemingly an ego that has taken a beating in recent weeks.

The talk show host said, "She [Machado] won the Nobel Peace Prize, but Trump said, 'she's a nice lady, but she doesn't have the respect to run the country.'" Kimmel would reiterate the White House sources' claim that Trump refused to support her because she "didn't give him the Nobel Prize."

He continued, "So how did she react to that? Why, she went straight to [Sean] Hannity to offer it up. Share it? He doesn't share. Sharing is caring and he doesn't do that either. You can't just give someone your Nobel Prize, as far as I know they're non-transferable, you can't re-gift them."

"Can we please stop with this idea that Trump lost the Nobel Prize? This is like I lost the cover of Sports Illustrated's swimsuit edition. Not only is Trump's ego bruised, his tiny little hands are bruised."

Kimmel then commented on the hand bruising Trump has been seen with in recent weeks, with the president claiming it is because of his aspirin intake. The Late! show host joked, "At this point his blood is even thinner than his skin."
