The Israeli government on Thursday approved the framework for the "first phase" of the peace deal President Donald Trump announced this week.
Trump announced on Wednesday that all sides had agreed to the "first phase" of a 20-point plan that could see all hostages held by Hamas released by early next week. Israel's government voted on Thursday to officially approve of the plan.
"The government has just now approved the framework for the release of all of the hostages – the living and the deceased," The Prime Minister of Israel's Office posted on X.
