MAGA fans hurled insults and threats at local-level swing state election officials during a meeting about ballot drop-boxes that devolved into chaos, the Huffington Post reported Monday.
Pennsylvania's Luzerne County, where a Democratic majority election board oversees a slew of former President Donald Trump voters, saw tempers flair last week over a decision to approve two drop boxes, according to the report.
"The meeting featured one public commenter calling the drop-box supporters 'militant fascists and socialists.'"reported Liz Skalka, "[and] some grandstanding by a national GOP activist who said he wants to turn Luzerne County 'blood red' for Trump, but 'peacefully.'"
According to the report, the scene left many attendees humiliated.

“I’m embarrassed," retired teacher Andrea Glod said. "I don’t even know who these people are who are talking."
Glod said she was confused by accusations hurled at Vice President Kamala Harris over conspiracy theories inspired by hurricanes Helene and Milton.
"They keep talking about ‘legitimate comment,’" Glod said. "And it’s to stand up there and say Kamala Harris is — I don’t know even what they’re [saying] now, controlling the weather?”
While Luzerne County itself is unlikely to vote against Trump next month, Pennsylvania is widely considered one of the most important battleground states in the upcoming presidential election.
Both Trump and Harris are fighting for every single vote they can get.
Some people close to Trump have sounded the alarm that his election strategy in Pennsylvania is risking failure, as he neglects field operations and focuses instead on rallies.
According to the Huffington Post, Luzerne County officials ruled to allow two of the four drop boxes it typically deploys to be used in the upcoming election.
Predicted a grim Glod, “This is going to be going on for the next 40 years."
