Former President Donald Trump is set to speak to reporters at his Bedminster golf club in New Jersey on Thursday.
It follows last week's Mar-a-Lago press conference in which he agreed to participate in presidential debates with Vice President Kamala Harris — an question and answer session that was widely criticized as devolving into chaos.
Onlookers were taken aback as the former president compared his crowd size to that of Martin Luther King, lamented how unfairly the January 6 defendants accused of violent assaults on police were being treated, and veered off into several other grievances.
The former president has engaged in a reduced rally schedule from his typical lineup, going to a small gathering in North Carolina on Wednesday and a rally in Montana the previous week, while his running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), has picked up the slack by holding events in battleground states.
