President Donald Trump fired off a new social media post Tuesday for the attention of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"What Vladimir Putin doesn’t realize is that if it weren’t for me, lots of really bad things would have already happened to Russia, and I mean REALLY BAD," Trump wrote. "He’s playing with fire!"

He didn't elaborate on what the "bad things" are.

Trump was clearly showing frustration with the Russian president's failure to stop his attacks on Ukraine, despite last week's two-hour phone call that Trump called "excellent."

As Putin launched the worst attacks yet on Ukraine over the weekend, Trump accused him of going "absolutely CRAZY! He is needlessly killing a lot of people, and I’m not just talking about soldiers. Missiles and drones are being shot into Cities in Ukraine, for no reason whatsoever. I’ve always said that he wants ALL of Ukraine, not just a piece of it, and maybe that’s proving to be right, but if he does, it will lead to the downfall of Russia!"

During his presidential campaign, Trump claimed Russia never would have invaded Ukraine if he has been president. He also bragged he could end the war within 24 hours of taking office.
