After months of silence on X, the social media platform that was formerly known as Twitter, Donald Trump returned Monday with a political advertisement filled with grievances.
In the first post since his 2023 arrest in Georgia, Trump sought to counter Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris' surge.
The post included a two-minute advertisement highlighting Trump's criminal arrests for allegedly mishandling classified documents.
"The only crime that I have committed is to fearlessly defend our nation from those who seek to destroy it," Trump says in the ad. "They want to take away my freedom because I will never let them take away your freedom."

"When I'm reelected, I will totally obliterate the deep state," he adds. "As long as we have pride in our beliefs, courage in our convictions, and faith in our God, then we will not fail."
While the advertisement was filled with grievances, it did not present any policies other than the promise to "totally obliterate the deep state."
Trump is scheduled to be interviewed by X owner Elon Musk Monday evening.
