Donald Trump on Saturday turned his attention to a relatively unfamiliar target: the widow of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs.
Laurene Powell Jobs owns the company that has a majority stake in The Atlantic, a media site that has frequently reported on Trump. Two days before Trump's attack, the site published a piece on how the ex-president is "becoming frighteningly clear about what he wants."
Without naming which piece of journalism he was upset by, Trump took aim at the Atlantic on his social media platform, known as Truth Social.
"It’s so good to see how badly the THIRD RATE MAGAZINE, The Atlantic, is doing," Trump said. "It’s failing at a level seldom seen before, even in the Publishing Business."
He went on to attack the site's accuracy, again without listing any specifics.

"False and Fake stories do it every time! They’ve got a rich person funding the ridiculous losses, but at some point, rich people get smart also," Trump added, before turning to the wife of Steve Jobs.
"Steve Jobs would not be proud of his wife, Laurene, and the way she is spending his money," he wrote. "The Radical Left is destroying America!"
In 2020, the former president similarly insulted Powell Jobs on Twitter.
