CNN's Donie O'Sullivan spoke with supporters of Donald Trump who have become foes of the MAGA movement in Arizona after they revealed they were going to follow the law.
Speaking to the network as part of a special on election officials, Lisa Marra, former elections director for Cochise County, Arizona, a lifelong Republican, said that she gave up when Trump supporters began flooding her phone with threats and attacks. After doing the job for six years, she left.
She handed the keys to Bob Bartelsmeyer, who thought hijinks were involved in the 2020 election but never believed it was enough to sway the election. Bartelsmeyer was a hardcore Trump loyalist, but when he said he would follow election laws, MAGA turned.

Before taking over the job, Bartelsmeyer posted on Facebook that he believed Trump "won in a landslide." Now, his opinion has turned, and supporters of Trump believe that Bartelsmeyer isn't extreme enough.
"They found out from the beginning that I was going to follow the laws and procedures," he told O'Sullivan. They weren't happy about it.
His phone blew up with attacks next, "Your actions, sir, are not that of a conservative." Some called for his firing, and others called for a complete overhaul of the election system.
Geri Roll, former elections director for Pinal County, Arizona, another Republican, revealed how she had to face Trump supporters spinning conspiracy theories.
"I had a guy tell me that he could hack into our election equipment through the power outlet," she recalled. "It's never been like this before. And it's not stupidity. They really don't care about truth or integrity. They just want their outcome. I think that's it."
Roll explained she'd spent most of her life as a county attorney and was treated better by child molesters and rapists than by MAGA fans.
